5 Museums to get a facelift

Bihar State Building Construction Corporation Limited (BSBCCL) has initiated bids to revamp/do a facelift of 5 museums across Bihar.

  1. Jana Nayak Karpoori Tahkur Smriti Sangrahalay in Patna
  2. Maharaja Lakshmishwar Singh Museum at Darbhanga
  3. Sita Ram Upadhyay Museum at Buxar
  4. Bhagalpur Museum
  5. Munger Museum

The art and culture department is also in the process of developing two theme parks:

  1. A Heritage theme part at Bodh Gaya
  2. A museum showcasing pre-historic rock shelters with 3-D models at Kaimur

If done properly, it should help improve the tourism revenue for Bihar. However, there have been many projects initiated in the past but never saw the light of the day or got completed. Case in point. - Tutla Waterfalls (India's own Grand Canyon - Tutla (Tutala) in Bihar)

Other simple improvements can be having a website for these museums. Most of the museums do not even have a website which can come up when people do an online search.
